Delete your data

For DJing DJ Pool: Record Crate on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Android, published by DJing.com.

From the app, in one tap

DJ Pool has no accounts. Apart from your own DJing.com feed if you add one (see below), the only data it sends us is anonymous usage data, tied to a random identifier that exists only on your device. To erase it:

  1. Open DJ Pool.
  2. Go to Settings › Privacy.
  3. Tap Delete My Usage Data, then Delete.

It is erased from our servers and from your device straight away, and the app says "Deleted." when it is done. If you are offline it says so and deletes nothing, so try again once you are connected. To stop anything more being sent, switch off Share Usage Data on the same screen.

Do this before you uninstall. Uninstalling destroys the random identifier, and with it the only way to tell which records were yours, so we cannot single them out afterwards. They are then deleted automatically within 90 days, like everyone's.

What is deleted, and what is kept

Deleted

  • • Every usage event recorded for your app installation, and the record of the installation itself. It is a permanent delete, not a flag.
  • • Everything waiting on your device to be sent, and the random identifier.

Kept

  • • Daily totals, such as how many tracks were previewed on a given day. They carry no identifier and cannot be traced back to you or your device.
  • • Your downloaded tracks, library and settings, which never left your device. Uninstalling the app removes them, apart from tracks saved to a folder you chose on a Mac or to Music/DJ Pool on Android, which are your files to delete.
  • • Your subscription, which Apple or Google hold. Cancel it in your App Store or Google Play subscriptions.
  • • The list of free tracks you downloaded this month, kept in your own iCloud or Google account backup so a reinstall does not reset your allowance. It holds track identifiers and dates only, and we cannot read it.

If you added your DJing.com feed

Your feed belongs to your DJing.com account, not to the app. Removing it in Settings › Podcast Feeds takes it off your device. To delete your DJing.com account and the data linked to it, email privacy@djing.com from the address on your account. We reply within 48 hours and complete the deletion within 30 days.
